Divinity School of Chung Chi College has been co-organizing a few religious quarterly courses with the School of Continuing Studies of the Chinese University since 1974. In 1986, a one-year Certificate Course in Theology was launched. Between 2006 and 2013, this programme has been upgraded into “Diploma Programme in Theology” and “Advanced Diploma Programme in Theology”. From 2015, these programmes will be further revised to “Certificate Programme in Christian Studies” and “Diploma Programme in Christian Studies”. This programme aims to equip students with a critical understanding of the Christian church traditions and how these traditions are relevant to the contemporary life in the areas of personal growth, work life, and socio-political movements.
